How to customize it

  1. 01

    Fill in your details

Use the form to add your business, mileage, generator, deposit and fees. The highlighted parts of the agreement update as you type, and your download comes ready to use.

  2. 02

    Leave the trip details blank

The renter, RV, readings and dates change with every booking, so they stay as blank lines. Booking software can fill them in automatically.

  3. 03

    Towable or drivable?

For travel trailers you deliver, the mileage and driver sections matter less. Keep the tank, pet and return sections.

  4. 04

    Set your travel area

A region, a radius from your lot, or no limit. Many operators ban off-road use and border crossings without permission.

  5. 05

    Check your state's rules

Rental, insurance and tax rules vary by state. Have a local attorney review the final agreement.

FAQ

RV Rental Agreement Template FAQ

Something else? Email support@bookcollie.com and a real person answers.

What should an RV rental agreement include?

The renter and trip dates, the RV and its readings at pickup, approved drivers, mileage and generator allowances, fuel, propane and tank rules, pets and smoking, where it may go, payments and the security deposit, cancellation, return condition, damage, accidents and roadside help, insurance, and signatures. This template covers each of them.

How should I charge for mileage and generator use?

Most motorhome rentals include a daily or nightly mileage allowance and charge per extra mile, and include a few generator hours per day with a charge per extra hour. Record the odometer and generator hours at pickup and return.

Can renters sign the RV rental agreement on their phone?

Yes. Upload the agreement to your booking software and it's sent for e-signature with every booking. Renters sign before pickup, and you get a signed PDF with a record of when and how they signed.

Do I need a separate waiver for RV rentals?

This agreement includes an assumption of risk and release in section 16. Some operators also use a separate waiver; ask a local attorney what fits your state.

Is this template legally sufficient for my state?

It's a starting point, not legal advice. Laws on rentals, insurance and taxes vary by state, so have a local attorney review and adapt it before you use it.
