Terms of Service

Effective November 1, 2026

These terms are an agreement between BookCollie ("BookCollie", "we") and the business that signs up ("you"). By creating an account you agree to them.

What BookCollie does

BookCollie is software for running a rental business: a booking site for your renters, a dashboard for your team, payments through your own Stripe account, contracts, emails and reminders. You decide your prices, rules and policies; we provide the tools.

Your account

  • You're responsible for your account, your team members and what they do in it. Keep passwords private.
  • The information you give us, and that you publish on your booking site, must be accurate and lawful.
  • You must be able to enter contracts for your business.

Your renters

Bookings, prices, deposits, cancellations, refunds and rental contracts are between you and your renters. You're responsible for your rental terms, your insurance, the condition of what you rent, and following the laws that apply to your business. BookCollie isn't a party to your rentals.

Payments

Card payments go directly into your own Stripe account and are governed by Stripe's terms. BookCollie may take a platform fee on payments, shown to you before it applies. Disputes, chargebacks and refunds are handled through your Stripe account.

Your data

You own your business data, including your renters' details. We process it on your behalf to run the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You're responsible for having the right to collect it and for answering your renters' requests about it; the dashboard lets you export or erase a renter's personal data.

Acceptable use

Don't use BookCollie for anything unlawful or fraudulent, to harm others, to send spam, or to interfere with the service or other businesses' accounts. We may suspend an account that does, or that puts renters or the service at risk.

Availability and changes

We work to keep BookCollie running and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is", without guarantees that it will always be available or error-free. We may change features; if we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you before it takes effect.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, BookCollie isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses from your rentals, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending your account

You can stop using BookCollie at any time. We may end or suspend accounts that break these terms. Ask us and we'll export your data or delete it, except what we must keep by law.
